Dischidia major 'Rattle Skulls'

This unusual epiphytic Dischidia variety is a must-have for any collector! This unique plant develops hollow, pod-shaped foliage, which, in its natural habitat, allows it to form a symbiotic relationship with ants, who utilise the hollow leaves as the perfect sheltered position for nests.  

CARE:

Prefers a warm spot with bright light indoors, or outdoors in a sheltered position. Use a well-draining potting mix and allow soil to dry between watering. Dischidia prefer to remain snug in their pots, so refrain from repotting too frequently. Fertilise throughout spring and summer to promote flowering.
