This is a stunning variegated form of the traditional Saxifraga stolonifera. These beauties produce charming rosettes of circular, dark green foliage, accentuated by an irregular margin of creamy-coloured variegation that blushes a vibrant pink when grown in good lighting.
Named for their strawberry-like growth habit, these beauties produce long runners ending in pups, which can either be left to trail in a hanging pot, or used as a ground cover in a shaded garden.
CARE:
Prefers a warm position, with bright indirect light indoors, or a sheltered position outdoors. Use a premium potting mix, and keep soil moist, but not wet. Fertilise throughout spring and summer.
PLEASE NOTE:
All pictures are of plants currently for sale or previously sold at The Tropic Gardener. The plant photographed should be used as an indication of size and quality only and may not be the exact plant you receive. Form and colour will vary slightly.
