About Us

The Tropic Gardener is a garden centre, landscaper and tropical plant nursery in Brisbane, located in the leafy riverside suburb of Kenmore.  We specialise in rare plants for sale, tropical plants, indoor plants, orchids, succulents and cacti, and we also sell a great range of garden accessories. You can also buy plants online through our online nursery, and we organise plant delivery to Brisbane and beyond, sending our plants to QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, and SA.

Our Plant Range

We stock an extensive range of both indoor and outdoor plants, so whether you’re looking for a hardy house plant you can leave in the corner of a low light room, or an unusual feature plant for full sun outside, we’re sure to have something that will suit. We also have a lovely selection of orchids for sale — as well as the expert advice to keep them thriving!

On the rare chance that you can’t find what you’re looking for, we will do our very best to source it for you; just talk to one of our helpful staff members or send us an email.

Rare Plants & Plant Sales

Looking for something particularly special? We have access to some of the rarest and most exotic plants on the market, from the spectacular monstera albo and thai constellation monstera for sale through to rare anthuriums.

We also run events at our Kenmore garden centre, from workshops to plant sales, as well as the fabulously popular rare plant ‘drops’, where we release our rare plants for sale. Make sure you’re the first to know about these sales and rare plant releases by signing up to our newsletter.

Our Story

The Tropic Gardener started life as a humble market stall at Brisbane's Rocklea Markets, and in May 2020, we opened our Kenmore Garden Centre. Our goal is to provide a tropical plant oasis for our customers to wander through (or browse online), while gaining expert advice from our friendly team. We strive to provide only the very best quality plants raised with love here in our Kenmore nursery, along with the tools and knowledge to transform even the worst serial plant killer into a green thumb.

Which is why we’ll be expanding soon to include a Kenmore garden centre coffee shop, so you can caffeinate to your heart’s content while browsing our beautiful plants for sale.
