Hoya 'Pauciflora' is an absolute showstopper of a plant, you wont want to miss out on the opportunity to add one of these beauties to your collection! Originating from the tropical regions of India and Sri Lanka, these Hoyas are quite unique when compared to many other varieties. Instead of producing large clusters of flowers, these plants grow larger individual flowers measuring up to 4cm wide. These striking flowers are pure white with small red corona and to make them even more appealing, they are beautifully scented as well! Their foliage is narrow and elongated, varying from 3-9cm long but remaining quite thin (never usually getting wider than 1cm). Depending on how much light they receive in their growing position, the foliage ranges from dark green to a light, pale green. They produce long and hardy runners which are great for support trellises or hanging pots/baskets. They may be pruned to shape depending on your individual aesthetic preferences.
NOTE:
Hoya will often produce long tendrils that initially remain bare, without foliage. These tendrils will eventually develop leaves, so refrain from cutting these long vines unless you wish to propagate, or are purposefully pruning for aesthetic purposes.
CARE:
Prefers a warm spot with bright light indoors, or outdoors in a sheltered position. Use a well-draining potting mix and allow soil to dry between watering. Hoya prefer to remain snug in their pots, so refrain from repotting too frequently. Fertilise throughout spring and summer to promote flowering.
PLEASE NOTE:
